Welcome to GoNews.UK
Reporting on Vital Public Services
Our Mission
GoNewsUK is a service dedicated to providing a platform where individuals can share their experiences of publicly funded agencies such as Courts, Local Authorities, the NHS, Police and Emergency Services.
Through discussions with a local Journalist our aim is to tell of the experiences of ordinary people who may have been involved with extraordinary events.
Whether critical or praising of a service you or your friends or family have received, we want to hear your story.
Our journalism focuses on the Counties of Worcestershire and Herefordshire and adjacent areas.
Join us in exploring diverse stories and perspectives that can lead to meaningful discussions and insights into the workings of public services.
We are currently engaged in investigative work around online identity theft and fraud which has ruined the lives of victims across the UK.
We highlight complaints relating to NHS, Fire, Police & Ambulance Services but we also believe it is important to report on the good news stories. We are very happy to detail and report on excellent services. In these cases we are happy to publicise and name, where appropriate, the staff whose contributions have been so valuable.
We report on professional misconduct cases involving all regulatory organisations to include Emergency Services Disciplinary Hearings, NMC, GMC, HCPC Fitness to Practice Hearings. (Please note we will not usually report on FTP Hearings where the matters mainly concern the health of the person facing allegations).
We are particularly interested in reporting on the treatment of video bloggers, photographers, videographers and drone users operating legitimately and their interactions with public service staff. To this end our starting point is, ‘Whatever can be seen from a public place can be photographed from a public place’. We welcome the opportunity to report on the activities of any publicly funded agency which attempts to prevent this.
We are not able to take on legal cases and we cannot give legal advice.
There is no guarantee of publication.
